It takes everything Isayama has to prevent a gasp from flowing out her mouth when Hirase had confessed. The shrine maiden could not help but look towards the girl with a concerned gaze. A moment later, there was saddness and understanding.
"Hirase-san...."
She almost felt compelled to give the lifeguard comfort, but had stopped a moment before when she had heard Ishida speak. When he finished- a pained look was covering IsayamaIsayama's face. She had closed her eyes and clenched her fists together.
Why?
Why... Did all of this had to happen?
What did any of them do to deserve this?
"Ishida-san...."
Despite how the growing anger was following towards the rich man, the shrine maiden could not help to feel no anger. Instead- she had felt sorrow. She felt sorrow for how her peer was driven towards violence.
"You could have talked to someone, anyone, yet you- you let yourself be driven by evil- to do the unnecessary...."
She could not force herself to hate someone, but she could beg and pray for their redemption.
"Ishida-san.... Next time- could you please let us hear your voice- your concerns- before something like this happens again... Please..."
Its all she could muster to say to the boy, before she turned her gaze back towards Hirase.
"Hirase-san.... Forgive me- I wish we could have prevented such a tragedy... And now your- your-"
She had tried her best to swallow back the tears.
"Back before all this- I remember a time when I watched you save someone's life- you were a hero and inspiration... you deserved so much more then what this game has given you...."
She tried so hard to hold back her own sorrow. The guilt- pain- regret.
"I promise to pray for your safe passing- If there is anything I can do- pass a message, write a memorial, or... Just anything you would like me to do- before or after your passing- I will try my best to do it."
She had done her best to give a comforting smile towards the girl- despite of how sad her voice had sounded.
Then- Shimakage had spoken and done something that had horrified Isayama.
That- she had left no room for hesitation.
"STOP!"
Her voice been loud and clear.
No more violence- no more malicious actions.
"No more!! No more violence! Please- Im begging you- please stop- there already has been enough victims... We do not need any more. Instead of focusing our anger towards each other- let it bring us to try and prevent any of this from happening again...."
She had taken a deep breath and sighed.
"Not all problems can be fixed with violence- just as fire does not put out fire- instead of hurting each other.. We need to work together."
"Is that too much to ask for?"
She had pleaded, hoping her peers to understand.
