Post by Krampusuke on Dec 23, 2017 15:00:21 GMT -5
After a day of peace and an opportunity to just relax, the next morning was destined to be a lot less pleasant. The day starts with the loud, ear piercing sound of the intercom sparking to life, letting out a loud screech. It was then followed, as usual, by Krampusuke's voice.
A loud slamming noise preceded the sound of the intercom cutting off. You look over at your clock and notice just how early it is. What was he doing, waking you up at 7:00 AM for? Regardless, you get out of bed and head up to the roof alongside the rest of the classmates. And although you had only lost two of you from the group, you can't help but notice how much smaller it makes the group of your ascending the stairs up to the roof look.
When you get there, you see Krampusuke there as expected. However, in his plush paws he appears to be holding a series of cards.
He began whipping around the cards he was holding around in the air.
You approach the plush wolf hesitantly and grab the card with your name written on it. When you flip it over, you notice something shocking written on it. But before you can even react or say something, Krampusuke speaks up again.
He looks over at Yanagi's general direction, giving a bit of a smirk.

Given the nature of their situation, Suzuki expects something...well.
Actually, now that he's staring his truth in the face, he's not sure exactly what he expected. Maybe something like "everyone actually knew you wet the bed up until you were ten years old and actually thought you wet it longer than that," something dumb and embarrassing that would make him readjust his glasses and mutter anxiously but not--
Well, not make him want to find out exactly how 'true or not' this was. He intends for the words to come out much braver than they do, and he curses himself (or krampusuke, or the situation they're in, or whatever) underneath his breath. He needs to remember his place here.

Sluggish. That's how he felt right now-- it didn't help that Krampusuke woke them all at.. seven. Seven in the morning. He needed at least one more hour of sleep, then he could interact with others. But as of now? It looked like he was on the verge of either spacing out or falling back asleep right on the roof. However, that had changed just slightly once he grabbed his card and flipped it. Listening in on the wolf's explanation, he furrowed his brows-- squinting at the card. This was.. sad. Though he's fairly certain this wasn't a truth worth killing for. If anything, it was just a piece of news that dampened his day just a smidge. Upon hearing both Krampusuke's last words, alongside Suzuki's inquiry, his frown deepens. Frankly, this whole motive worried him. Sure, he had a relatively depressing truth, but he was more worried about the others with.. possibly horrible truths. Turning away, he chews on his lip a bit before muttering to himself.

Madoka was not amused.
Although she'd called everyone for a meeting at 8:30 am herself, she'd been more than happy to hold future meetings at a later time. Therefore, getting woken up at 7 am was not something that she appreciated. This might be one of the reasons why she took her sweet time to get dressed, before making her way to the rooftop. She crossed her arms before her chest, staring at Krampusuke with more than a hint of annoyance in her eyes.
The detective was quick to get her card, just to get it done and over with. When she read what was written on it, the girl blinked in confusion, before listening to the meaning of what she was holding in her hands now. Unfortunate truths?
"Really? That's your incentive?", she asked in a deadpan voice,"... well, guess we're getting a lucky break here. Claiming something to be the truth without any evidence to back it up is stupid. Not to mention that there is actually no reason for us to trust your word, so... congrats, you played yourself."
Madoka shook her head, glancing around to take in the other's reactions as well, before shrugging it off and getting off the rooftop - straight to her room, because she wanted to get some more shuteye.

🐧 --- Osatsu had nothing really to think about this 'motive' in all honesty. The thing that they considered as a secret was mostly... well, something that they had came to terms with a year ago. Or was it within the recent months? It was somewhat recent, really. As a result, they weren't at all eager to go ahead and get their card. However, they did want to get it over with, see what could be so life-changing about these cards so that the temptation doesn't strike at them in an unfortunate situation. Though, they were a patient person in their opinion. Either way, they just wanted to be done with this. Instantly when they looked at what it said, Osatsu instinctively crumpled it up in one hand as tightly as possible, a tight smile decorating their facial features with a slight twitch. To have the audacity to write something like this and claim that it was true-- well, that was just one hell of a goddamned joke. It almost made them laugh, really. Something like this could tug on someone else's heartstrings, but Osatsu was not having any of it. Their life was not some kind of drama-- With that, they leave the room without another word, gripping their card as tightly as humanly possible. --- 🐧

Post by Shimakage Seitaro on Dec 24, 2017 17:27:00 GMT -5
Out of all the things that could possibly put Shimakage in a bad mood, waking up even earlier than usual was at the top of the list. He trudged up to the roof, already preparing for the worst. Then again, there had been no body announcement, which meant that whatever Krampusuke wanted from them wasn't immediate. He hissed low under his breath, eyebrows pulled into a deep scowl. Eventually, however, he dragged himself up to the front in order to retrieve his card before falling back in line in order to open it. For the briefest of moments, his eyes widened as though in shock. In a flash, he wadded his paper up and flicked it back at Krampusuke, aiming for the wolf's forehead.

Post by Yanagi Tsuneo on Dec 25, 2017 15:34:48 GMT -5
Even though it was early, Yanagi was already awake. He'd noticed, since coming here, that he was a fairly early riser- and he tended to stretch, to go over facts (his name was Yanagi Tsuneo, he was in high school, his birthday was April 20th) and then he would go over the facts of the people he knew in the lodge. Perhaps it was paranoid, but the truth was, that nothing was more terrifying than the fear of losing what little information he had.
Even though it was nervewracking, to climb with everyone else and pretend to ignore the missing faces in the group, to stare at Krampusuke, and pretend he wasn't terrified of another murder happening, Yanagi marched forward confidently to grab a card. The perk of being an amnesiac was that nothing they could tell him would worry him too much- he had no point of reference, no memories to haunt him, no way to even know if it was true. He was comfortable, in that, as he retreated and flipped over his card--
(No fucking way.)
His hands were shaking, and he had to reread the card over and over and over, even as those around him balked, scoffed at the words they were given, or (in Shimakage's case), declared that they didn't care.
(That can't be true.)
Steeling his jaw, Yanagi rips his card in half, then half again, and again, and again, until there's nothing more than shreds of paper in his hands, falling out like a light snow- and he wants to throw them, but a part of his brain tells him that someone (someone observant, like Madoka--) could find them, could put the pieces together-
So Yanagi shoves the scraps of paper into his pocket, gaze dark, and for the first time he broods- he'd wanted information, but not like this.
Never like this.
