In the morning of the day after the last trial, the intercom sparked to life once again. Krampusuke's voice rang throughout the mountains, just like all the other times. However, as everyone started looking down at their wrists, they noticed a small metallic band around their left wrists that must have been placed there in their sleep. Tugging on it or trying to pull it off proved fruitless. Once everyone had made their way to the roof of the Lodge, they saw Krampusuke. However, he didn't have anything special with them. No fanfare, no cool props. Suddenly, all of the electric student ID cards in everyone's pockets started to buzz. As everyone checked their ID, they noticed a new application installed onto it entitled "DR:BR", short for Dark Resilience: Battle Rumble. As everyone flicked through the options and tutorial of the new game installed on their phones, Krampusuke continued to explain.

How To Play All living players will be receiving a starter card and 5 snowflake gems in their planning chat shortly! In this game you will start with 5 hearts. Run out, and your character will be shocked to death! Uh oh! However, by attacking other players you can buy some of those hearts back, or save them up for an even cooler prize. You have three character slots. Slot A, Slot B, and Slot C. As you starting scouting more cards to add to your team, you can fill out a team of 3. Each card has one of three attributes: Body, Mind, or Spirit. Each card also has three stats, corresponding with those attributes. When attacking another player, your card in Slot A will attack their card in Slot A, your Slot B card will attack their Slot B card, and so on. Since you're the one initiating the attack, your character will attack with the stat corresponding to their signature attribute. Your opponents card in that same slot will defend with your card's signature attribute, even if it's not their signature attribute. So keep an eye on who's getting what type of cards! If the opponent has no cards in that slot, then it's counted as an immediate victory for you for that pairing. If your team of three is able to overpower at least two of their team, then you'll win 5 Pts! However, your opponent will lose one of their 5 Hearts. But if you try to challenge someone and fail to overpower their team, you won't lose any hearts, but you also won't gain any Pts. In the #ch3-gacha channel in the discord server you can scout for more cards, with each of them costing 5 snowflake gems a pop. In the #ch3-grinding channel in the discord server you can post there once every OOC day to get an amount of snowflake gems randomized between 1 and 10. In your planning chat you can tell us which cards you want equipped in each of your three slots. You can tell us who you want to attack. And you can exchange your Pts for prizes in your planning chat as well. Just as a note, all attacks will be private, and the person defending will not know who attacked them. However, they will see the characters on their assailant's team, but not the rarities of the cards. So try to be sneaky! Prizes - Golden Coin (5 Pts) - Regain 1 Heart (15 Pts) - Winter Gear in your size (25 Pts) - One yes or no Question Answered (50 Pts) - One call to the Outside World (75 Pts) - Immunity from Dying in the Killing Game (100 Pts) Gacha Rates - N (51%) - R (32%) - SR (16%) - UR (1%)

Waking up with an unfamiliar object stuck on your wrist was already more than enough to allude that their next motive was about to be announced. Even though the temptation of simply showing up in her pajamas was huge, Madoka reminded herself that it wasn't exactly warm at the rooftop, so getting changed it was. When everyone finally assembled, Krampusuke revealed to them that their new motive was... a mobile game called Dark Resilience: Battle Rumble; with the students as its focus. Seriously?Granted, learning that if you die in the game, you'd also die in real life was concerning, but this scenario could be easily prevented if they simply didn't play the game at all. Thus, Madoka was quick to speak her mind:"As long as we don't play it, it can't affect us. Buuuut some of us will probably get curious and check it out anyway. Well, if no one attacks someone else, we should be still golden. Though we could also use this game to our advantage if we're playing it smart... But I'd rather not open Pandora's Box here. So, if we just could go a day without anyone murdering someone, that'd be greaaaaat." Even though Madoka wished for nothing more than the killing spree to stop, to believe in her fellow peers that they're better than that, she knew-- Despite this ridiculous murder motive, someone would somehow wind up killing someone again. Why.

This was..... concerning. Really concerning. First the bracelet on their wrists, then a ... mobile game? He was fairly certain that no one could just.. make a mobile game in a day-- however that wasn't his biggest concern. Checking the app, Ootani listened in on Krampusuke's explanation. The link between the app and the bracelet was... He didn't know anything about mobile games, but considering how his attention span was, he figured he would get bored of it. Though.., now that did leave the rest of the students who probably would like the game and play it, despite Marugou saying they shouldn't do so at all. He agreed with her, in that the game would bring more harm than good should the others continue... However, one look at the rest and he would see the others on their IDs-- looks as if a few were already playing it. With a frown... he turns to Marugou. He lets out a sigh, placing his ID back into his pocket before tapping his cheek. It would probably be better than trying to stop them from playing. Who knew what would happen if someone refused to stop playing?

Of course they'd be playing. Not like this could go wrong in any way!
Madoka pinched the bridge of her nose and let out a sigh, before she faced Ootani properly. He was interested in her suggestion and naturally, she didn't have any reason not to explain what she meant by it. Maybe this would stem the worser sides of this game, but it would be difficult to achieve...
"Yup. There's several ways we could go about it. For example, we could make it so that everyone attacks only one person specifically, but only once a day. That way, we'd ensure that everyone does play the game, while also making sure that no one is behind anyone's health. We'd have the same point stand, but... on the other hand, we need quite a bit to actually gain a heart back. Hm... Man, there's a reason why I never really played gacha games before."
