A high pitched, annoying buzzing sound echoed across the vicinity of the lodge. Two loud taps followed it, followed by the familiar voice of Krampusuke.
After a moment of silence, most likely followed by several students yelling about the sudden annoyance, he spoke up again.
After everyone made their way up to the rooftop, they got to see the brilliant sunrise, flooding the area with light for the first time since they had arrived. The sun rising above the mountains also revealed a new secret. No matter which way you looked, there were mountains blocking the view. Everyone was trapped, even if you managed to escape the confines of the lodge you would have to be an expert mountain climber would be able to escape the frozen valley.
Krampusuke was facing towards the sun, his back turned away from the students.
As the crowd began to chatter or shout questions in response to his statement, he turned around revealed a sinister grin plastered onto his cute, plush face.
Meanwhile, in the corner, Santako stood silently. He did nothing to stop anything that was happening or being said. Perhaps this truly was their fate, and there was nobody there to save them.
The intense feeling of being watched began to flood all those around as Krampusuke spoke one final statement.
“Testing… Testing… Is this thing onnnn…?”
After a moment of silence, most likely followed by several students yelling about the sudden annoyance, he spoke up again.
“Alright, goooood… Now if all of you could make your way up to the roof, it’d be much appreciated. If you still haven’t explored at all and you need help getting up there, then just use the second set of stairs up on the second floor. Don’t dillydally! We don’t! Have! All day!”

“Isn’t it beautiful? We’ve constructed this winter wonderland for you all to live in for the rest of your lives.”

“Hope’s Peak Academy is tired of researching talents. We’ve seen it all already. Chemists, Essayists, Marine Biologists, Fashion Designers, Basketball Players… It’s gotten old. Now we’ve decided to do something… A bit more fun ehehe… Y’know, reality TV shows are all the rage these days. Gone are the days of people wanting to see others be successful and happy. No no no! They want to watch others suffer. Especially those that are more fortunate, more skilled, and more powerful than they’d ever be. Ehehehehe…”

“Without further ado, I would like to introduce you all to our lovely audience as the cast of Hope’s Peak Academy’s First Annual Killing Game!”
