—— The forbiden fruit was always so intriguing: two lovers were guaranteed eternal happiness and amenities but decided that, with the aid of a snake's charms, the allure of what they could not have was too much to be swayed away from. To be blessed with everything yet still desire more...
...It was primal to be selfish, wasn't it?
The warning that they were all being broadcasted to who knows how many people seemed to have escaped the young butler's mind for when he had entered the library, there was a kind of giddiness that overcame him at the copious amount of books at his disposal to simply peruse.
He had seen plenty of these libraries in his life, but he hadn't dared to do any pleasure reading himself. And even more, his eyes positively sparkled at the fiction section: books not about education ( not that he hated that either! just... it was what he was used to... ) or manuals or scholarly in nature but honest to goodness just fiction made to occupy the time of young people.
He had completely lost track of the time, his fingers rapidly flipping through pages of various children's books and then eventually a volume of shoujo manga. He had been hesitant at first but found himself utterly enraptured in the story. He had been so engrossed his reaction to hearing someone walk in had become delayed so much so that it was not until the mangaka was in his field of vision that he had come to his senses. He quickly closed the book shut, mentally cursing himself because he didn't have a bookmark, and attempted ( poorly ) to use his hands to obscure the cover of the text in his possession.
"Good day, Komatsuzaki-sama. Did you need any assistance in finding a book? I have spent quite the amount of time here, enough to be able to organize the information of each section, I believe."
Shit, his voice was a little higher pitched than he had intended. His ears grew a bit red in embarrassment, knowing full well his composure was not as perfectly calm as he had hoped to maintain after being caught off-guard.

Komatsuzaki couldn't shake the feeling of unease off-- the words that were spoken to them by whatever Santako and Krampsuke seemed to be bothered her, slipping into the library to clear her mind. After all, being surrounded by books was a lot more comforting to her than other places, a place for solitude... a breath of fresh air... though the thought of being broadcast didn't help her settle into the cottage any nicer than before.
It was a jungle of books, searching up and down for anything of the sort that looked interesting, the idea of curling up with a good book was almost enamoring, not having much time to read herself due to such a restricting work schedule-- though walking through the library at such a point didn't catch her interest at all. Her attention was trailed off hearing her name called, almost startling her as she thought she was alone in the library. She was relieved enough to notice that it was only Mukizu, letting a small sigh of relief escape her lips.
"Oh..! Mukizu..."
Giving a small smile as a greeting, noticing the book in the butler's hand. Although she couldn't see the cover very well, it peaked her interest none the less. For someone of Mukizu's composure, maybe he had an interest in classical literature, or something like that-- attention shifting from searching for a book of her own to what he had been reading.
"Well... I was looking around to see what the library had to offer, after all a good book is one of the best pass times in my opinion."
Pausing a moment before she continued to speak, eyeing the book in his hand slightly. "Do you enjoy reading, Mukizu?"

—— Mukizu gives a nod when the mangaka comments on how great of a past time bookreading is; after all, it would be rude to disagree-- not that he really did disagree, but he couldn't say he agreed either. The idea of thinking of his own preferences and interests was a strange thought to say the least, and it troubled him slightly, especially when he was being prompted to voice his own opinion.
The obvious answer would be to just simply agree, or to tip-toe around it but compliment her esteemed taste so that she may be happy but he would not have to think too much on it. Alas, perhaps because he was already a little flustered at having been caught in the middle of a rare period of indulgence, the gears in his mind were already working to come up with a thoughtful response.
Not without hiding the specific book in his hand, deftly moving his arm to behind his person so that the title might be more concealed easily.
"I don't find many excuses to do leisure reading, but I suppose I have rediscovered that there is a magic to them. I recall finding a great deal of enjoyment in reading books aloud to others, but I suppose I can experience a different world of titles if I read in solitude."

His response was rather elaborate, at least to her-- seeing as most people would have just said yes or no to such a question. Although he said he worked as a butler, she wasn't really sure what he did as one other than cooking and cleaning... certainly he'd have time to himself, she thought briefly. Giving a slight smile to the other, she replied.
"There might be some sort of magic to them, though I personally enjoy not having to think about the real world for an hour or two..."
She paused for a moment, thinking about what she could say to him... after all-- it wasn't like they were particularly close... honestly she wasn't really close with anyone, and though she much preferred an atmosphere of solitude, it was probably better to get along with everyone the best she could. After all, it seemed like there wasn't much she could do about the situation.
"Why would you need an excuse to read? I'm not really familiar with what you'd do as a butler-- but surely you'd have free time at some point, right?"
