He appreciates the company, Osatsu. But at least Isayama is also looking in the other suitcases.
Upon taking notice of the odd suitcase containing eight slots, an eyebrow is raised. He gets out his notepad-- sketching the inside of the suitcase. Writing down how many knives that were left in the case, he begins talking.
"Hmmm. So he kept four knives to himself? That's.......odd. Really odd."
He closes the note pad before closing the suitcase-- twirling his pen between his fingers.
"There's four in the chest.... and there's four in this room. But why would he decide to keep four of the knives for himself? ....Just what was Mukizu-kun planning to do with them?"

🐧 --- A pause came from the comedian's end before let they out a small, but clearly amused 'heh'. After saying that, Osatsu gives a nonchalant shrug before striding away from Ootani, and over to where the portrait hung in the room. They examine the portrait, probably poking at the frame with a finger. --- 🐧

Isayama will find nothing strange. The other suitcases mostly hold things like silverware, though you might notice that there's no clothes in them. Probably cause there's a dresser and all in the room.
When Osatsu checks the painting, there seems to be something behind it upon extremely close inspection. In one moment, the three of them are in the room, and in another, the three are gone...

As Madoka stepped into the Research Lab, she'll take in the overall state of the room first. Would something stick out right off the bat? Either way, she'll first give the bookshelves another, more thorough inspection - are any books here missing? Or do any of them seem like as if they've been taken recently?

There's a small blood splatter in the middle of the floor with stretched out satellites. It's likely it was created at a high velocity. Nearby it is also a bloody throwing knife.
The bookcase is just as neat and orderly as it was before, not a single book out of place.

Madoka decides to inspect the throwing knife more closely. She knows already that it's the weapon used on poor Mukizu thanks to Shimakage's... effort. Still, doesn't hurt to see if there's anything more to it - for example, if the blade might be chipped or how much blood is on it to begin with - and how old the blood is. Does it still seem recent or already older?
When she's done with that, Madoka moves on to the dryers and washing machines next. First, she'll look if there's anything on top of these devices, before looking inside of them. Will she find something? Actually, while she does it, she'll sniff if there's any particular stench to be picked up - aside from the metallic smell of blood, of course.

The throwing knife is identical to the one Shimakage had used a few minutes ago in all appearances. The blade is not chipped, but the blood is alarmingly recent and fresh. It's not even close to drying, actually.
Around the washing machine is just the normal laundry supplies, but within them is a dark blue uniform that looks strikingly familiar to you. It's the top to a gakuran. You gather the scent of detergent from over here coming from the machine. The uniform is damp and heavy.

Before she does... something, Madoka decides to look what kind of setups the dryers and washing machines have again. Like, how many minutes do each setting take to wash/dry your clothes? Which one would be the quickest to do so?
When she's refreshed her mind in that department, Madoka takes the gakuran into her hands and... oh my god, she's putting it on. Why.
... Alright, so, is the gakuran way too big for her? And the probably more pressing question - does she look adorable in it?

There's three settings, but you note that these take longer than most. There's a lack of a speedwash setting, forcing the shortest time to use to be a whopping fourty-minutes. It sure would suck if you didn't have a large load or anything.
Upon putting on the wet gakuran, Marugou would find that... it actually fits her pretty well? The only issue is that it's a few cm too long, and the shoulders are a little too broad. Perhaps I would think this is more adorable if it weren't extremely wet, but alas!

No speedwash setting on my washing machines? Where am I, in the middle ages? ... Granted, they didn't even had the luxury of washing machines at all, but in the year of 2017, you would think that all of them would have it by now.
That aside, she was a bit surprised that it almost fit her pretty well. Sure, it was a bit too long and wide on the shoulder area, but she could totally sport this kind of style! ... Okay, enough of that. It's actually getting cold with how wet this thing is. Madoka pulls it off of her and places it back to where she found it.
The next thing Madoka checks are the suitcases - if she rummages through them, will she find anything amiss or being recently used, if it's possible to distinguish? Something wrong about the suitcases themselves?
After that, her investigation leads her away from the electronic devices and suitcases, straight to the expensive dresser - anything in it that has changed from the last time? Or is anything amiss?

Rummaging through the suitcases reveals the majority of them are just as they should be, holding silverware and other things appropriate for the deceased's talent, but then one suitcase seems alarming: there is a suitcase with eight slots intended to hold throwing knives. Though there had been four of them in the chest of confiscated weapons in the kitchen, there are still three of them in here.
Peeking into the dresser, and you note it still has all the clothes from last time, but there seems to be a gap in the middle of it, the clothes all pushed a little to the left and right extreme ends. Weird.

All Madoka wanted to know is why there were still knives in this damn suitcase. Well, guess that's one reason how this murder could even happen to begin with. Internally cursing herself for this oversight, she makes a mental note to take the rest of the knives to where the others were stashed - just so this stab fest couldn't happen again.
As for the dresser, might there be anything underneath the clothes that were pushed left and right? Actually, what kind of clothes are there, again? The stuff that Mukizu would wear, like suits and the likes? Anything to be found in the gap or nada? Actually, would the black cloth from the gift shop match here or not?

There's nothing underneath the clothes! The types of clothes in here are all expensive as hell and clearly intended for the elite to wear. There's some suits and tuxes here but also some evening gowns. They're not all the same size either. Nothing can be found in the gap, and the black cloth does not match any of the fabric in here.
Marugou hears a noise behind her and sees that Isayama, Osatsu, and Ootani have appeared in the room but... not anywhere near the door? Weird.

Alright, guess a gakuran wouldn't make sense there, either, so what was missing? She would probably have to investigate other places first--
The detective flinches slightly when she hears a noise behind her and whirls around - only for three of her classmates to suddenly appear out of nowhere. Madoka blinks slowly, taken aback by this turn of events.
"... Yo", at least her voice managed to stay in its usual nonchalant tone and after a second, she continued with the following:"Did you guys suddenly discover teleportation or are you ghosts that are here to haunt me now? ... Or you've come out of a secret room. I'm more in favour of the last option, personally."

There's a pause and perhaps a snicker?-- before Ootani lets out a big sigh.
He knows this is just how they are, but that's not gonna stop him from crossing his arms and looking at Osatsu with a deadpan face. He's disappointed.
"Osatsu-san."
However, he's going to stay silent on the fact that he almost laughed.

Madoka squinted her eyes a bit, not sure how she felt about this. A part of her thought that she wasn't quite up for any jokes about death, but on the other hand, she kind of set it up herself - not to mention that a part of her couldn't help but smirk at that comeback (internally, at least).
Instead of saying anything, she took a few steps forward, standing right in front of Osatsu, before... poking their chest once.
"You don't feel like a ghost, Osatsu", she remarked swiftly.

🐧 --- A small 'heh' comes out of Osatsu at hearing Ootani's disappointed tone. Then there was a brief pause on Osatsu's end when Marugou approached them, most likely debating on what direction to take considering it wasn't hard to predict what would come next.
In return for that poke to their chest, Osatsu raises their hand and just... pokes Marugou's cheek. They continue to poke her. --- 🐧
